Our team is made up of industry professionals who have extensive experience and a personal commitment to improving patients' lives through providing the Life Science and Healthcare community with effective communication materials. Jodi Hassig, Founder & Creative Lead Jodi is a 14-year veteran in the field of designing for Life Science and Healthcare companies. Her ample experience with graphic design and in-depth knowledge of the Life Sciences influences and shapes Bioscience Design’s creative vision. Prior to founding Bioscience Design in 2002, Jodi worked as an in-house graphic designer at Tularik Inc, a public biotechnology company with over 400 employees. There she reported to the company's CFO and worked closely with the Executive Management Team to meet their daily design needs. Over the course of her career, Jodi has worked at Harvard University, NIH, and the Whitehead Institute. While at the Whitehead, Jodi reported to Peter Kim, now the President of Merck Research Laboratories, and served as his graphic designer and editor. Jodi graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biophysical and Biochemical Sciences in 1995, and received graphic design training at the Massachusetts College of Art and the Montserrat College of Art.
Joel Roney, Instructional Designer Joel has 5 years experience designing technical training in the medical and automotive fields. Much of his career has followed the industry trend of creating web-based learning experiences. He has built and deployed training solutions for major corporate clients such as CareFusion, Lexus, Toyota, Hyundai, Honda, Mazda, and Suzuki. He has also created web-based instructor-led experiences, and virtual classrooms leveraging technology to reach widespread audiences.In a former life, Joel spent 6 years as a video producer and web developer in the advertising industry working with major corporate clients such as Columbia House, Braun, Rotozip, Wagner, Clorox, and Oreck. This experience continues to provide the foundation for solid media design and awareness of learner needs.
